Well the rumors of Sony entering the Windows phone ecosystem has been there for quite long now, we even saw some Sony Windows Phone running prototypes last year which made us believe that the Japanese company would unveil a smartphone running Microsoft’s platform soon but we haven’t heard or seen anything from Sony yet.
We heard some officials from Sony in the past saying that they are not opposed to the idea of Windows Phone on their devices but they said it would be best to wait and see how the platform evolves. Now the latest rumor suggest that Sony will launch a Windows Phone handset by the end of the year and it’ll be running the latest Windows Phone Apollo or Windows Phone 8. Well we should still take this with a cup of salt since we know of the hurdles such as the PlayStation thing and Microsoft’s Xbox Live services.
