Rumors have recently heated up when it came to a successor to Amazon’s quite successful tablet, the Kindle Fire. The original was a bit of a rush job, using the PlayBook’s body and borrowing elements of it as well.
Specifications are still scarce and some point at a 10,1-inch device and others point to a 8,9-inch device. Foxconn will apparently build the next Kindle Fire to keep costs down which is something Amazon needs as their main advantage over the iPad is its price. The Kindle Fire 2 is expected somewhere in Q2 2012 and besides new, better specifications, it will also bring some software upgrades as well.
