Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launched in India for INR 59900

Samsung has launched its flagship phablet Galaxy Note 7 in India priced at INR 59,900. The device will be available across India starting September 2 in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, and Black Onyx colour variants. Those who pre-book the device from August 22nd till 30th can get the new Gear VR that costs Rs. 7290 for Rs. 1990. It also comes with Jio preview offer with unlimited voice and data for 90 days.

The Galaxy Note 7 comes with the company’s Knox software clubbed with biometric authentication and iris scanning feature for enhanced security. The device also features ‘Secure Folder, that can be used to keep confidential documents locked using biometrics. Some initial testing of the Note 7 has found that it is indeed bright enough and has a wide enough color gamut. The new S-Pen features Screen off memo, Smart Select and new Air Command functions to Magnify and Translate which enables users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen. The S Pen now also has a smaller 0.7mm tip with improved pressure sensitivity.
