snapseed

Snapseed version 2.19 got a major design update and now supports a new Dark Theme. However, this update is for Android only. Snapseed, which is owned by Google is one of the best free image editor application on both iOS and Android platform. This app offers basic filters for editing as well as it also offers to edit the RAW images captured by your smartphone.

The new Dark Theme of Snapseed looks good but it could be better if the background color was all black. A dark black accent is best suited for devices having AMOLED display but this grey color accent is still much better than the white accent. The selected modes or space highlighted has no change and it is still in blue color. Users can toggle the dark and light theme from settings option.

This update also comes hand to hand with Android Oreo’s Adaptive Icon support. Now the icon can be changed in different forms like square, circle, squircle, rounded square, and teardrop.

As Snapseed usually don’t get many updates, this seems a nice one. This goes well with the Dark Theme Skin on the certain Android Smartphones. Right now the update is not on Play Store but users can download this updated app from Web sites offering third-party apps like APK Mirror.
