After last week’s renderings of the Sony Xperia 10 III, renderings of this year’s upcoming Xperia Compact phone have surfaced thanks to @OnLeaks. However, according to some reports, this will not be a flagship phone like the previous flagship models of the Xperia Z and Xperia XZ series with top of the line specifications, but instead, this shall be an budget phone powered by Snapdragon 480 5G SoC.
The device is said to feature a 5.5-inch flat screen with a notch and measures 140 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm. The display shows a wide bottom, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button and a dedicated camera button. The phone should come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a secondary camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The new Sony Xperia phone is expected to be available in the spring of 2021. An announcement is expected in late February or early March, along with other Xperia models.
