News: Videocon launches 7 inch Android tablet for Rs.4,799.

Videocon brings in a 7 inch tablet , the VT71 at Rs.4,799 thereby directly targeting the sub-five thousand market. It directly competes with the commercial version of the Aakash tab and the Ubislate 7Ci. The tablet carries a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800*480. The operating system is locked to Ice Cream Sandwich with no expected updates.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The device has 4GB of onboard memory and can be expanded to 32GB with a microSD slot. It maintains its juice with the help of a 3200mAh battery. The connectivity is maintained by WiFi b/g/n alongwith HDMI . Less is known about any rear camera but it has a VGA quality front camera.
