Tata Docomo Photon on June 5, 2014 made an announcement regarding upgraded data speed on their WiFi Max data card starting with Mumbai. Tata Photon will now offer higher data speeds to its customers in different regions starting with Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and other 8 subsequent metro cities.
Tata has upgraded its infrastructure network with the Rev. B Phase II technology providing data speeds of up to 9.8Mbps from the 6.2Mbps being served currently. Customers will now be able to access their content even faster with the upgraded speed. This data speed upgrade will be compatible with existing Photon Max WiFi devices. Both post-pay and pre-pay customers will benefit from this roll out irrespective of their tariff plans.
