Telegram v4.8.3 brings Mark as unread, vCards sharing and more

Telegram recently rolled out its new update Telegram v4.8.3 for both iOS and Android users. The update brings several new features like replacing photos or videos with the correct versions right away in case if you have sent a wrong image by mistake, marking the messages as read or unread, selecting what data you want to send when sharing a contact and switching to 2X playback for the audio clips.

Replacing Media

With this option, users can finally replace the wrong image. To access this feature just tap editing option and then tap the paperclip button to replace the attached media. Now users can also add a caption to the image and video they want to send.

2X Playback

This feature allows the users to listen to the audio and video files faster. It works the same way we’ve seen in general 2X or 4X playback modes in TV or Video.

Mark as Unread

This is a very interesting feature needed by most of the people these days. This option helps to quickly remove the less important things out of your way.

vCards Sharing

Now users can select what contents they want to send while sending a contact to another person. Users can also select to send it to several people at once too.

All these updates are available on the Telegram v4.8.3  on iOS and Telegram v4.8.10 on Android. However, Android users are getting few more updates than the iOS. Here are some more additional features of Telegram v4.8.3 :

  • Tap and Hold on profile pictures in the chats list to preview chats
  • Cancel sending messages before they are sent
  • Use the create link option in the formatting menu to make text URLs

These are the few updated features we saw on the Telegram update. You can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
