WD introduces SE line of hard drives for scale-out data-center market

The storage industry leader – Western digital company launched its innovative WD SE line of hard drives. This is specifically designed for scale-out data-center deployments. This reliable, efficient and robust hard drive is suited for 24x7x365 data-center operation. A dual processor is used to enhance the performance considerably.
Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward (RAFF™) technology is used which enhances and monitors the drive with the help of electronics and also corrects both linear and rotational vibration in real time.
Positional accuracy over the data track(s) is improved with the help of Dual actuator technology.

There is a multi-axis shock sensor used in the hard drive. This sensor detects the subtlest shock and immediately protects the data.
