Google Drive slashed their storage plans starting at $1.99 for 100GB

Google Drive the popular cloud storage service from Google now allows you to save more with more storage. Google Drive since its launch two years back has achieved immense success with so many people using it as their go-to place for keeping all their files whether it may be audio, video, documents whatever it just stays there for you.

Yesterday Google lowered the price of their monthly storage plan to $1.99 for 100GB which was earlier $4.99. Adding to this Google has also brought down $9.99 for 1TB which was previously $49.99 and $99.99 for 10TB with even more storage available. The basic plan remains at 15GB storage for free for life.

These storage plans are available starting today and can be availed at if you already have a drive account or you can sign up for a new one. For those who already are paying will be upgraded to a better plan at no additional cost.

Looking at these prices for 100GB storage plan for an year, I think Google Drive turned down every cloud storage with their plans. They now suit everyone, isn’t it? With Onedrive (formerly SkyDrive) and Dropbox being the top competitors Google Drive totally wins the game with its low sotrage plans with Dropbox being the most expensive. On the other hand, new competitors like @copyapp have been arising which might change the rankings very soon.
