Now users can track how much time they’ve spent watching videos on YouTube. A profile is built as per your usage and that informs you how long you’ve watched YouTube videos today, yesterday and over the past 7 days.
Users also get a new feature of setting a reminder to take a break. YouTube will remind you everytime you hit the time limit. A pop screen will come up with a friendly message in case if you spend too much time in the app.
YouTube also introduced a new feature for notifications. From now on, you can bundle all the YouTube push notifications into a single notification at a specific time. It’s a great measure if you distract too much by the notifications. Users can now customize every aspect notification starting from sound to vibration, you can even set up the time limit of the buzzing notifications.
For now, these are the new features we’re getting under Digital Wellbeing Tools on YouTube. These features are some of the most requested by the users. YouTube is a good tool for use but addictive at the same time. These tools will help to get stay focused even with the use of YouTube.
