YuFit Fitness Band and HealthYu Health Tracker Launched in India

At a launch event at Delhi, Yu has launched the successor of their first smartphone Yu Yureka – the Yu Yuphoria as we have reported but this was not the only device launched today. YU has entered into the foray of fitness category with the launch of its HealthYu- a fitness handheld device and YuFit- a wearable band.

YuFit

The YuFit band is a health companion band that will track user steps along with mirroring notifications for calls, emails etc. on its OLED display. Recently Micromax had invested in the Bangalore-based HealthifyMe app to use it along with this fitness band. The YuFit app will work along with the HealthifyMe services and will offer personal fitness coaches to usersalike a Gooqi or a Garmin band.

The app will not just show the number of steps you took and the calories burnt but it can also be used to track food intake and the number of calories consumed based on diet, fitness tracking and weight tracking.
The band features a food tracker that allows users to input what they had for meal they had by just simply clicking the picture of the food item and the app will automatically determine what kind of food is it and how much calories does that meal contains and based on what the user feeds into the app and will notify if they should go easy on the next meal. This is useful for those who are setting goals for their daily diet. Though this is merely a software trick which can be achieved using other third party app but it definitely adds to the use case.

The app also gives the option of contacting a Fitness coach or a Trainer and the user can call the expert or have a chat with the coach and plan the workout or diet accordingly which will be free for the first 1000 buyers. The band is price for INR 999 and will be made exclusively on Amazon.

HealthYu

HealthYU is a pocket device that offers critical medical checkups making the device as one’s personal medical assistant.

HealthYU keeps track of the four vital body signs- heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate and body temperature along with an ECG and blood oxygen saturation level.

The HealthYu app will record all the data and you can even send weekly reports from the app to your doctor. This device will only work with the HealthyfiMe app.

The accessory will connect with smartphones via Bluetooth, it has suction cups at the back which help it stick to your phone when needed. The device will be available at a price of Rs. 4,999.
