Review: Laptopmate Astro Power Bank 5600 mAh

Laptopmate is a US based brand, providing various power/battery options for laptops and phones and we reviewed them previously. They sent across their product called, the Astro Power bank – they sent 2 of their power banks – having
spoken about the 8400mAh rated one earlier, we now move on to the second power bank which is the 5600mAh variant. Lets see how the 5600mAh one fairs compared to the 8400mAh one which performed very well.

[tab name=”Unboxing”]
The power bank was well packed and came in through a hassle free and quick shipping. In the box everything was very
organized and compact. It contained same items as the 8400mAh variant – The Power bank, 2 USB cables, a variety of extensions which allow you to use different gadgets having different ports and a detailed two page manual.

[tab name=”Design”]
The Power bank is well designed, though as sleek as 8400mAh and even more compact, elegant and stylish. It does
complete justice to the styling looking at the price it is being offered at. It has one well placed USB port and also has a
flashlight which makes it a complete power solution. An LED indicator on top indicates the battery level in the
power bank itself and gives a better look to the battery. It is built in a very compact and impressive way. The extensions
and cables provided are of high quality and fit easily into the ports and gadgets. Thumbs up to Laptopmate for design !

You can check out our video for unboxing and the demo of the power bank:

My usage of my phone is very heavy and I often run out run out of battery sooner than I can afford to, also I’m mostly traveling- so I tired carrying the Power bank with me wherever I go. This compact battery is way easier to carry around and a very convenient solution to get rid of your battery woes also much easier than going around looking for points to charge your devices which are likely to run out of battery by then. It also gives me the freedom to be mobile and carefree about running out of battery !

The Power bank 5600mAh takes around two hours to fully charge which is not a very long time so you can have it ready full
charged most of the time. It charges my BlackBerry twice from 0 to 100 %  and it still had around 20% juice
left !

[tab name=”Conclusion”]
Laptopmate is a recent company and their quality of service, build quality and performance of the product was very impressive ! This variant of the Power bank has equally impressed us as did the 8400 mAh one.
Considering the price of the product on their Amazon store- $39 its a steal ! I’d suggest this product to those who aren’t carrying too many gadgets with them, perhaps those only with a smartphone to power up while on the go ! If you have more than one gadget to power up, I’d suggest the higher capacity variant !
