India’s top most travel planning and search website ixigo.com launched an innovative mobile application named “ixigo PNR status”. Ixigo was voted as the product of year 2013, in the travel section. This app enables automated management of all trains and flights. This app is an intuitive kind of app which sends intelligent alerts and notifications for status changes. It supports IRCTC trains and ex-India flight PNRs and their statuses and this app is available free of cost on the Google Play Store.

This app will be a boon to many people who get frustrated with slow PNR statuses, misplacement of PNR numbers. On an average there are more than 1.5 lakh daily flight passengers and 20 million daily train passengers in India. This app will help them and save their time from the website load times and also by keeping track of multiple PNR’s for various trips.

Automated PNR discovery: This app automatically reads PNR numbers and confirmation sent by the airline or railway and updates it to “my trips” list.

Reviewing PNR status alerts: After reading the sms’s sent by the airline/railway, the app notes down the PNR number and sends regular updates or PNR status alerts.
