Review : Plantronics Savor M1100

Plantronics has been quite popular in the market for their quality products especially when we talk about their Bluetooth headsets. We all have witnessed an evolution in Bluetooth headset lineup from optimizing performance to sleek and stylish design along with lots of new features. Following the similar trend Plantronics had launched their Savor M1100 Bluetooth headset some time ago.
As we know Plantronics do not compromise with their quality thereby proving their price range. With much cheaper options already available out there why should one go for this? Find out the answer in our detailed review below.

Package:

The sales package of the Savour M1100 looks very classy, something that could be kept on display. The retail package houses three user manuals, the Savor M1100 Bluetooth headset, USB cable, power charger and two ear gels all in a carrying pouch.

Design:

The light weight stylish M1100 has a greyish-black theme with a very professional look. It has a volume rocker on one side and power switch on the other. The controls are very strategically placed so that we don’t press them accidentally. Maximum volume notification is too there alike most of the Bluetooth headsets so that you don’t keep on switching the volume rocker up and down. The dedicated voice button is cleverly placed on the bottom of the headset to avoid accidental presses while tucking the headset over the ear.

The LED located at the bottom notifies about the connection, battery and the power status.
We found the overall design to be very good. The ear gels provided perfectly fits in ear. There are two alternate ear gels provided in the package so you can change to what suits you.

Performance:

We all consider two things while buying any headset or headphones or earphones in that matter, how they look and how well they perform.

The Savor M1100 has been designed to follow the latest technological trends to go wireless completely. It takes control of your device from not just answering the calls but to listening music, posting a tweet or even sending an email without even touching your device. It has three microphones for reducing any type of surrounding noise thereby providing clear voice input. Inspite of being monotone it can stream stereo input because of the A2DP support but it should be kept in mind that this is not made for listening music. In that case you should opt for the backbeat series which are specially designed for the purpose.

Conclusion:

The Plantronics Savor M1100 is available for $79.99 from the plantronics online store. It not just have a good design but it performs well too. With all the stylish professional looks, it has taken over the control using voice commands changing the implementation of hands-free headset. A user literally don’t have take hold of his device while using this headset for most of the operations to be performed. The three mic design with the audio IQ suppression makes the sound quality impressive. This may be bit pricey for a Bluetooth headset and we do feel the same but these features will not be found in any other headset in this or below this range making it worth the price. Let’s see what other advancements do Plantronics come up with in the future.
