Truke Buds Q1 Review: A True Value For Money TWS

Truke had launched its new range of value-for-money TWS in the Indian market, these were Buds Q1, Buds S1, and Fit1+. Truke is a German audio accessories brand that is known for its value-for-money earphones.

From the bunch of TWS that Truke launched last week, the Truke Buds Q1 is launched at Rs. 1299 with many exciting features in this tight budget. The TWS comes with a 400mAh charging case that can allow up to 60 hours of playback and in a single charge, you can get up to 10 hours of non-stop playback. The best thing is that it connects to devices with Bluetooth 5.1, which enables a stable, low latency playback. The Buds Q1 comes 10mm dynamic driver with support for AAC codec. So, let’s get deep into the TRUKE BUDS Q1, and here is our comprehensive review for the same.

Connectivity

The Truke Buds Q1 comes with Bluetooth 5.1, which means longer range, stable, and low latency playback. We tested the buds within 10 meters and never felt any connection issue all thanks to Bluetooth 5.1. Also, pairing the Truke Buds Q1 with the smartphone was easy. Just we have to take the earbuds out of the box and It will automatically connect with the smartphone. We were impressed with how fast these pair up to your Android/iOS device.

The Buds Q1 also has a dedicated gaming mode for lower latency that comes in handy while gaming. The company claims that the buds deliver 85ms of low response time with the gaming mode.

Audio Quality

Truke Buds Q1 comes with a good audio quality for the price point it comes. If you are a bass lover, you will probably love the earbuds as it excels in the department. Vocals on Truke Buds Q1 are amazing and crystal clear, even mids and high are also good. If you enjoy listening to EDM music, the performance is just fantastic, all thanks to the awesome bass.

The calling functionality was quite good too and we didn’t face any issue. The voice clarity was clear and was also audible with a fan running in the background. We also tested the mic and unsurprisingly it worked perfectly and was able to communicate without any issues. Thanks to the Quad MEMS Mic for Clear Call, the microphone quality improved drastically. It also comes with environmental noise cancellation support that works fine and cancels surroundings noise to provide clear audio.

Battery and charging

The Truke Buds Q1 charging case comes with a whooping 400mAh battery with which you can enjoy up to 60 hours of playback time. You can easily get up to 2-3 days battery backup with the case. It took almost 1hr to charge the case and the earbuds. The charging case has a USB Type-C input so that you don’t have to carry any additional charger along with the Buds Q1 as most of the smartphones come with a USB Type-C cable.

Design and Build Quality

The design of Truke Q1 is very sturdy and feels great to hold in hand, though it is made up of plastic. We have no complaints about the plastic body as it has a matte finish and doesn’t attract dust and also doesn’t feel cheap in any way.

But one thing which they could have added was a magnetic locking mechanism rather than a traditional locking mechanism. The case has a LED indicator type small display which is basically a battery indicator that is super convenient and a must-have feature in our opinion and we wish other companies should adopt the same thing.

The Truke Q1 earbuds are comfortable to wear and fit perfectly in the ears. You can also change the earbud tips according to your needs as buds come with extra pair of earbuds of different sizes.

Talking about the earbuds, both buds have touch controls for using different functions like playback control, Google Assistant, Siri, and call controls. The latency of operation and touch response is great for a budget TWS and we had no complaints regarding the same.

The earbuds come with IPX4 Sweat and Water-Resistant certification making them sweatproof so you can use them while exercising in the gym. The overall build and design are pretty much good and we have no complaints in this department.

Conclusion

Truke Buds Q1 is a marvelous TWS for its price range and gives you a good experience. Though we expected if the treble was a little bit better. The TWS has many competitors in its price segment like the Boat Airdopes or the Boult Audio Air bass.

If you can extend your budget, you can buy a better TWS like the Realme Buds Q or Noise Shots X1. But you can do consider buying the Truke Buds Q1 and you won’t be disappointed with it for sure.
