The clock is ticking and its just a matter of few hours that the OnePlus 6 will be official. In past few weeks we have had a huge number of leaks and at this moment we have a fair idea of how Oneplus 6 would look like and what would be the specifications. Most of the OnePlus 6 leaks point to an Android smartphone that combines faster speeds with a trendy all-screen design with a notch while remaining affordable next to other flagship devices. Although the “affordable” is not the right adjective that can now be used for smartphones manufactured by Oneplus.
The OnePlus 6 is going to be unveiled on May 16th in London and May 17th in India. The device would be replacing the Oneplus 5T that was launched last year, just 5 months after unveiling their previous flagship the Oneplus 5. Although it was not just an upgrade though; it was replacement to their previous flagship device, as OnePlus ceased production and sales of the phone it launched just six months prior to the arrival of the OnePlus 5T. And following the “T”rend from last 2 years, Oneplus fans would hesitate to buy the Oneplus 6 fearing a “T” variant would be launched later this year. And same has been confirmed by Oneplus that they would be following the 2-Flagship a year cycle.
WinFuture spotted an Amazon Germany listing (since removed) for the OnePlus 6 that included full images of the device. The device was leaked in its full glory in Midnight Black and Mirror Black variants. Of course, the listing was soon pulled down by Amazon Germany, but not before the website managed to grab photos of the smartphone showing off its design as well as the placement of the cameras, fingerprint sensor, buttons, and ports.
At the Google I/O 2018 developer conference, Google announced that for the first time, the latest Android P public beta will be available for devices other than the Pixel phones and the list includes the yet to be launched OnePlus 6. This would allow users to experience the public beta of the Android P operating system on the device and the company has also announced the same on their OnePlus forum.
