News: MapsTD adds tower defense to Google Maps

Google Map has added “typical traffic” to it’s system, a feature that lets you pick a day and time to see what the traffic has looked like over time, so you can expect the degree of traffic at any given location at any given time. This feature has been available for highway routes for a long time, but Google has now rolled it out to surface roads as well. It’s built right into the desktop version of Google Maps.

All you have to do is enter a starting point and a destination, enable traffic, and then select the day and time to see what the traffic is typically like on your selected time frame.

The feature is now live, and a quick look at Google Maps reveals that this data is widely available. However, this data only appears on the desktop version, but because this feature is more for pre-journey use than on-the-move usage, mobile users wont miss it much.
