Sony Launches new 4K X9004 BRAVIA UHDTV at 55″ and 65″

Sony today announced 2 new 4K BRAVIA Ultra HDTVS at 55 and 65 inches respectively.The 4K BRAVIA™ screen contains no less than 8 million individual pixels (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) which translates to four times the pixel density and detail of a Full HD TV. The TV comes with a built in 4K X-Reality PRO processing engine up-scales any standard definition content to 4K resolution irrespective of its source. The 4K TV in 65 (165 cms) and 55 (140 cms) screen sizes will be available at MRP of for Rs. 4,04,900 and Rs. 3,04,900 respectively.

The X9004A series of 4K LED TVs come with TRILUMINOS Display LED backlighting is used in the TV which Sony says , significantly achieves wider color gamut and provides a far more natural and vivid viewing experience with a heightened sense of depth. The onboard 4K X-Reality PRO processing engine up-scales any standard definition content to 4K resolution which can be from any video input source from smartphones to a DVD Player and even from TV broadcast, web videos, blu-ray discs to even low resolution smartphone clips. Also, 4K content would be distributed by Sony in their own BluRay Discs.These discs will have extra information encoded into them, which the 4K X- Reality Pro can use to deliver fantastic 4K picture quality.

The X9004 series TVs boosts of extraordinary audio enabled by World’s first Magnetic Fluid Speaker design for TV. Unique to Sony, Magnetic Fluid Speaker technology allows a thinner, more efficient loudspeaker that offers faithful reproduction of high-fidelity sound.

Offering seamless connectivity, the X9004 Series offers a wide range of connectivity options to enhance the user experience. With the new NFC feature, one can simply touch an Xperia smartphone (NFC compatible models) with the sleek one-touch remote and see the phone’s screen super-size on BRAVIA.  Photos, music, apps, everything can be mirrored on the TV.

Coming to the connectivity side, 4K LED TV has built in wi-fi and supports direct 3G dongle plug in while offering a wide range of internet connectivity services from Sony entertainment network.

All the models in W series offers Wi-Fi Connectivity along with Smart connect features such as One-touch connect, direct 3G dongle plug in, MHL and TV SideView providing greater control and additional content .
