Samsung has today posted its Q2 2012 earnings and they have posted a huge record $5.9 billion profit. And they have dwarfed Apple iPhone shipments with almost double shipments of smartphones, to be more specific, they shipped 52.1 million smartphones in the this quarter thanks to the Galaxy S III which has been in great demand ever since it launched with last week we reporting that it has reached 10 million sales in mere two months.
Samsung reported $41.5 billion in revenues, up by $1.5 billion from last quarter, and up 21 percent compared to the same quarter last year.
They have acknowledged their sales to obviously the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note too which is stills selling well thanks to its unique niche.
Samsung’s mobile division contributes 60 % of the total revenue and with the expected announcement of the Galaxy Note II next month, the momentum will continue and we can expect more increase in Samsung sales.
