It seems Sony plans to greet its customers with the New Year with a price cut on its more traditionally designed Tablet that is the Sony Tablet S, it has slashed the price of the Tablet by $100 and the 16GB one can now be yours for $400 and the 32GB one for $500.We don’t know the reason yet for the drop in price but maybe Sony decided to boost its sales because earlier it was in the price range of the hugely successful iPad. The new price brings the Tablet in mid-range tablets where its quite crowded with the likes of Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the original Asus Transformer but if this wasn’t enough the Sony Tablet S has to compete with with the much loved Amazon Kindle Fire at $200. Well, let’s see if Sony’s Tablet can get some buyers ?
The Sony Tablet S offers a 9.4 inch display with a dual-core Tegra 2 processor which is pretty decent for the price. It comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb but the company has promised the Android 4.0 update early this year, it also offers a 5 megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera. The Tablet is PlayStation Certified which will be loved by game lovers.
Let us know if you will be buying the tablet, just because it cots a $100 less.
