It seems Sony plans to greet its customers with the New Year with a price cut on its more traditionally designed Tablet that is the Sony Tablet S, it has slashed the price of the Tablet by $100 and the 16GB one can now be yours for $400 and the 32GB one for $500.We don’t know the reason yet for the drop in price but maybe Sony decided to boost its sales because earlier it was in the price range of the hugely successful iPad.┬áThe new price brings the Tablet in mid-range tablets where its quite crowded with the likes of Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the original Asus Transformer but if this wasn’t enough the Sony Tablet S has to compete with with the much loved Amazon Kindle Fire at $200. Well, let’s see if Sony’s Tablet can get some buyers ?

The Sony Tablet S offers a 9.4 inch display with a dual-core Tegra 2 processor which is pretty decent for the price. It comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb but the company has promised the Android 4.0 update early this year, it also offers a 5 megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera. The Tablet is PlayStation Certified which will be loved by game lovers.

Let us know if you will be buying the tablet, just because it cots a $100 less.
