Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311 and 211 launched in India

As we reported earlier, Samsung today on 18th July 2013 launched the third iteration to the new Galaxy Tab series. Galaxy Tab 3 in India has three models differentiating in screen size and cellular connectivity.

Galaxy Tab 3 311 which is the 8.0 inch model comes in two different variants one with a 3G and WiFi and other with WiFi only.

Galaxy Tab 3 311 features:

  • 8-inch WXGA TFT (1280×800 pixels) HD display
  • 7.4mm thickness
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos 4412 processor, Mali 400 GPU
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 4,450mAh battery
  • 16GB internal memory
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

On the other hand Tab 3 211 comes in only one variant which supports 3G and WiFi both.

Galaxy Tab 3 211 features:

  • 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) display
  • Dual-core 1.2GHz processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera
  • 8GB internal storage
  • 4,000mAh battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Apart from the technical specifications Tab 3 series has the same TouchWiz UI layering with bundled applications like Multi Window, Pop up Video, Smart Stay, Reading Mode, Story Album, Group PLay etc. Adding to this Tab 3 series exclusively has a new Reading mode which optimizes the screen for reading ebooks on the tablet.

Pricing

The MRP of the GALAXY Tab 3 models launched today in India are as follows:

Tab 3 211 (7″) – ₹17,745

Tab 3 311 (8″) – ₹25,725

Tab 3 310 (8″ WiFi only) – ₹21,945

Samsung Tab 3 Series comes with an introductory offer of 2GB/month data free for 2 months from Vodafone. The offer is valid for post paid customers. As a part of promotional offer, Samsung is also providing its patrons with free download of media content worth ₹20,000 from My Services built-in application. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models will be available from this Sunday in leading ecommerce websites and retail stores accross the country.
