Xiaomi has just launched the successor to its previous Redmi Y series phone Xiaomi Redmi Y2, the Xiaomi Redmi Y3. It was announced recently and now it is launched alongside the Xiaomi Redmi 7 in today’s event. The Redmi Y3 comes with a 6.26-inch HD+ display which comes with a water drop notch and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top of it. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and is available with up to 4GB RAM. On the back, it has a 12MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP secondary depth sensor for portrait shots and AI scene detection. On the front, it has a 32MP camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology, AI portraits, and AI face unlock.
The special features of the phone include the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and reflective finish with micro lines on the back with Aura Prism design which uses the 7-layer process. The device comes with P2i nano-coating which makes it splash proof from water. It has dedicated slots for both the SIMs and a MicroSD and it packs a 4000 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 is available in Elegant Blue, Bold Red, Prime Black colors starting at Rs. 9999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and Rs. 11999 for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The device will go on sale from April 30 on Amazon, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. Airtel users will get 1120GB of additional data along with unlimited calls.
