Snokor iRocker Stix Review: Well Build, Decent Sounding Earbuds at a Budget!

Snokor has been launching ton of new products, with the brand’s recent launch being the Snokor iRocker Gods, which have already been reviewed on the site. Today, however, we will be taking a look at the Snokor iRocker Stix True Wireless earphones and review the same. So, are these earbuds worth sticking to? Let us find out.

Snokor iRocker Stix Review: Design

The Sokor iRocker Stix have a design that is eerily similar to something like the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. The case itself is different and looks better than other true wireless cases in the same price, with a good hinge and a sturdy build. Coming back to the earbuds themselves, they look just like the Mi TWS 2, from the thick stalk to the front of the buds. While this may not be a bad thing for some, a unique design would have been appreciated.

There are some interesting designs on the buds which resonate a pattern of sorts. Nonetheless, the earbuds do look good and thankfully are available in black, which is a good thing. The case looks good and has handled our usage well and is safe from scruffs and scrapes as of now.

Additionally, the case features a sizeable 300 mAh battery, which coupled with the 40 mAh battery on each individual bud provides a total of 16 hours of battery life. To add to that the case and the buds can be fully charged in just an hour and a half thanks to the USB Type-C port on the back.

The buds come with a host of interesting features which include quick pairing support, Bluetooth 5.0, support for Google assistant, and, most importantly touch controls. One can use the controls to play or pause tracks, skip tracks, hang up on or pick up calls and summon the google assistant. This is quite useful and works like a charm, but, do note, the controls may take some time getting used to, something that is quite a bit of an issue with most true wireless earphones. Also, these touch controls are not capacitive touch-sensitive and we have physical buttons that need to be pressed to activate the single/double/triple tap features.

Snokor iRocker Stix Review: Sound and Battery

While the Snokor iRocker Stix might look like the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, in terms of sound quality it is far from something like the same. But, before we discuss the sound, let us get the battery life out of the way. The Snokor iRocker Stix lasted approximately 3 hours on a single charge, which is less than the advertised 4 hours of battery life, but, that is something that is usually not achievable and is usually at 80% volume while we tested out at max 100%. The case features another 12 hours of additional charge or 3 full charges and that did live up to our expectations. While the battery life is good, it is not great.

Coming to the most important part of an audio product, it’s sound, let us get the specifications out of the way, after which, we can discuss how the sound quality is. The Snokor iRocker Stix wireless earphones feature 14.2 mm dynamic bass boost drivers, with Hi-Fi audio. The brand states that one can feel the deep and powerful bass produced by the large drivers.

So, how is the sound in reality? Well, in one word, it’s flat, as these earbuds have plastic ear tips these don’t seal well and thus the bass is non-existant. The audio at max volume is not as loud as the Infinix iRokceR Gods that we just reviewed. Overall the audio is just fine for basic phone calls, casual music, and zoom calls.

In a country like India, where people prefer more bass driven songs and like Bollywood songs, these earphones make sense, but, for an audiophile, this just isn’t it, regardless, the earphones do sound good for the price that they come in. And at the price at which they come in, you can’t complain much.

Snokor iRocker Stix Review: Verdict

The Snokor iRocker Stix are a good pair of earphones for those looking for good sound for a budget price. The build although inspired, feels good and the battery life too is adequate. For just Rs 1,499, the earphones are a great pair of earphones for those looking to join the TWS revolution but, with a low budget.

Pros:
1. Good build
2. Adequate battery life
3. Type-C charging
4. Intuitive touch controls
5. Impressive Pricing

Cons:
1. Flat sound signature
