Truke launched the Truke Pro and from there, their journey in the budget True wireless segment began. Recently, the brand launched the Truke Fit Buds (Rs 799) and the Truke Fit Pro Power. We will be reviewing the latter today and, will try to find out whether the Fit Pro Power really deserves this name. Without any further ado, let us begin our review of the Truke Fit Pro Power.
The Truke Fit Pro Power True wireless earphones feature a design reminiscent of the older Truke Fit Pro, which featured the first-gen dolphin design, wherein the buds resembled the shape of a dolphin’s nose tip.
With the Truke Fit Pro Power, the brand introduced the second generation dolphin design, which is great in terms of the ergonomics. The earbuds fit snug onto your ear and the size of the buds themselves, while not very small also not too huge and do not cause pain to the ears.
While wearing the earbuds, we found the fit to be good and the shape also helped the earbuds stay in place, even when we were out running, but, be advised all earphones have varying fits that are either good or just plain bad in terms of the size of one’s ear canal. Our testers had large ears and the buds fit well, but, for someone with smaller ears, they might want to check these earbuds before making the purchase.
Coming back to the design, the case is a thick rectangle (of sorts) with less length and more width. There is a USB Type-C port on the exterior to charge the case and inside, one can find the tiny display which tells the user the amount of charge remaining on the individual buds. Be advised, this is for the earbuds and not for the case itself. Also, the charging medium is via a Type-C port, which is quite nice to see.
In terms of some additional features, the buds come with Bluetooth 5.0, feature instant connectivity with 99% of devices. The battery on the case is a massive 2000 mAh one, which provides up to 100 hours of music playback, which is the highest not just in the same price bracket, but for other ranges as well.
The buds themselves feature 40 mAh batteries which provide 4.5 hours of battery life on a single charge (according to the company), but, we found the battery life to be around 3.5 hours, which is still quite good for the price.
To add to all these features, there is also quick charging support, wherein with 15 mins of charge one can get 3 hrs of battery life and, this is one claim which truly does work and is a boon in urgent situations. The Buds also come with touch controls and feature support for Google Assistant as well as Siri and one can summon the same via a double press on the left earbud. Although, we have physical buttons instead of capacitive touch buttons on each earbud to summon the quick actions such as play, pause, and next.
The Sound quality of the Truke Fit Pro Power was decent enough, and this was not expected, considering the pricing of the same. The earphones are tuned to provide a flat base experience. Over here, one can make out the instrument separation well enough and the bass was not very overpowering. The earbuds are definitely not meant for bass lovers as there isn’t any bass in these, but you should keep in mind that these earbuds have a plastic top and no seal can be made within the ears and also at the price at these come, they sound decent enough for casual music, media experience, and gaming.
Overall, we are quite satisfied with the sound quality. More importantly, we found the mic to be quite good, with the person on the other end reporting that we sounded clear and the amount of background noise was also less. This was quite helpful and we did test this further, which resulted in the same feedback from other people, which means the mic truly is good. Also, please note that we only tested these in closed environmanet and there was not much background noise and outdoor results might vary.
The Truke Fit Pro Power lives up to the Pro claims, at least to our minds. The earbuds offer battery life like none other, have decent sound quality, sturdy design, have a good mic, and are priced reasonably at just Rs 1499. This is truly a worthy successor to the earbuds that started it all and, for someone looking to get a budget set of TWS earphones for the recent uprising in online classes, this is as good as one can get in the price bracket.
Pros:
1. Good fit
2. Balanced Sound
3. Sturdy Build quality
4. Useful battery indicator inside case
Cons:
1. Flat Bass Experience
