It is clear that Indian manufacturers are now sure of 720p displays being a big USP when it comes to making a quality Android phone. Although late than never, Lava – the manufacturers of XOLO are out with a brand new XOLO 1000.
This dual-core Android phone has a decent set of specifications to make its mark in the segment where it holds its place in the market. The XOLO 1000 is a fresh replacement to the company’s previous flagship device – the XOLO 900 which was powered by an Intel processor .
Fast following the launch of Canvas HD which happens to be Micromax’s current flagship device , Lava announced this phone having the following specifications:
- OS : Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 5 inch HD IPS LCD Display
- 3G and WiFi connectivity
- SoC : MediaTek MT6577 (dual-core) ARM A9 with PowerVR SGX531 GPU
- Storage: 4GB inbuilt and microSD support
- Camera: 8 megapixel rear with 1.2 megapixel front (Both with BSI)
- 2100 mAh battery
The specifications are good enough for this phone to be priced at 13,990INR but at times like these when there are quadcores being launched at the same price tag we doubt how apt the pricing is. We would personally have liked if it was closer to the 10 thousand mark.
