Samsung announces a new REX line of feature phones at a press conference today. The phones kick off at a budget friendly price of 4280INR.
The Samsung REX series comprises of the REX 60,70,80 and 90 which by its features and pricing are aimed at the Nokia Asha series of phones as well as other feature based phones available around that price bracket.
These phones run on a Samsung proprietary OS that Samsung talks about as the “TouchWiz UI” without disclosing further details. All feature phones in this segment come with a TouchWiz UI interface.
The Samsung REX features a 2.8 inch QVGA resistive touchscreen, smart DUAL-SIM, 1.3 Megapixel camera, and 15 hours of ample talk time. As from the pictures too u can notice , it integrates social networks like Twitter and Facebook into their UI.
The REX 70 comes with a QVGA display, dual sim capabilities , a 1.3 megapixel camera and 13 hours of talktime. The REX 80 is packed with a 3 inch QVGA touchscreen, dual sim capabilities, WiFi connectivity,3 megapixel rear camera and 14.7 hours of talktime. The REX 90 has a 3.5-inch capacitive HVGA display, smart Dual-SIM with true hot swap, Wi-Fi, 3.2-megapixel camera and 15 hours of talk time.
