With about an year now since Google re-introduced Android Market as a digital entertainment hub which is popular among us the Play Store where you can find, enjoy and share your favorite digital content on your Android phone or tablet which was nothing new to India whereas the United States and United Kingdom experienced it as a totally different thing. The Indian Play Store just had apps and games in its collection whereas that in the west had books, music, movies along with apps and games.
Google on February 28 2013 via an official announcement on its blog finally added Books on its Play Store for the Indian public. So now Android users have a catalogue of more than 5 million titles which includes thousands from Indian authors. With books in the cloud, users can read on the device of your choice – on the web, a phone, or a tablet and pick up right where they left off. Users have an option to discover, purchase and read books on:
- Android phones and tablets – directly purchase books in the Google Play Store and begin reading them instantly in the Google Play Books app;
- Computer – where they can purchase and read books on the Google Play store and read in their web browser;
- iPhones and iPads by the Google Play Books app
