Huawei’s Mate series has often be used to debut the company’s latest mobile processor technology and the MAte 9 will likely be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 960 SoC according to the report. The chipset is said to be made using TSMC’s 16nm process, and the octa-core CPU will feature Cortex-A73 cores. The dual camera configuration is said to be built from two high-resolution 20-megapixel sensors. But it’s still not clear that the Mate 9 will feature the same P9’s monochrome 12-megapixel camera design. Although we expect the company will by trying something new for the Mate 9.
