Sony announced it’s fourth flagship in the Z series : the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact In India.
Sony Xperia Z3 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) display. Powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB RAM, the phone comes with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 128GB.
Both smartphones feature IP65/68 certification, which makes them dust-proof and waterproof. Sony says both smartphones have 4G LTE support for Indian bands. Both phones run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sony’s custom UI running on top.
The Sony Xperia Z3 has an improved set of stereo front facing speakers. The camera on the back has a wide-angle lens as well. The Z3 and the Z3 compact can now playback high-resolution audio as well.
The Z3 Compact is identical specwise to the the Z3 which is a great thing considering that there is no device from the competition that comes in a smaller form factor with flagship specs.
Both smartphones also feature PS4 Remote Play, which allows users to stream their PS4 games onto the smartphone over the home Wi-Fi network – this functionality will only be rolled out in November.
The Xperia Z3 will be available at Rs 51,990 while the Z3 Compact is priced at Rs 44,990. The phones will be available starting today.
