Recently an XDA Developer, discovered a way to customize the Always on Display on the OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5T, and the OnePlus 5. You’ll only need the Substratum Theme Engine, you can be enabled by rooting your device or if you don’t want to root, just install the Substratum application along with Andromeda.

How to enable Always on Display on OnePlus Smartphones:

Step 1: Install the Substratum, either by rooting or by downloading it along with Andromeda.

Step 2: Once downloaded, navigate to Substratum where you’ll then be able to enable them both.

Step 3: You’ll find a plethora of customisability available at the end. You can try and play as much as you want with the options.

Note: Make sure to enable Always on Display on your OnePlus smartphones.

  • Select your colors in Substratum
  • Reboot your smartphone
  • Go to theme manager
  • Enable it
  • Reboot or force close the Always on Display Process
