HTC quietly announced on its HTCDev’s site that all HTC phones launched after September 2011 can now be unlocked using its bootloader unlocking tool and confirmed that it is already working to expand unlocking its older phones as well.HTC CEO Peter Chou had originally promised that they would cease locking bootloaders on their phones entirely but later they backtracked on their plan and decided to offer an unlocking tool instead, not the best way but still good enough for geeks looking to unlock their phones.
