Snapdeal-owned wallet services firm FreeCharge has teamed up with Indus OS to launch a new digital payment platform. The platform named Recharge 2.0 will allow prepaid users to track their data and calling usage, and make payments to recharge their prepaid connection using FreeCharge Wallet. The platform is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a simple UI with some native preinstalled apps. One of the apps is the Indus Dialer that shows the remaining prepaid balance and allows One-Touch recharge through FreeCharge Wallet. The user can also analyze balance history and track daily, weekly and monthly usage forTalktime, Data and SMS. Users can also set a threshold limit to get recharge reminders if balance falls below a specific value. The Recharge 2.0 also features an easy to navigate settings menu which provides most used toggles like Wifi, Data, Bluetooth etc.
Recharge 2.0 aims to bridge this gap and introduce features that provide comprehensive analysis on usage patterns alongside real-time updates to offer more control in the hands of pre-paid users. Recharge 2.0 will be exclusively accessible to the existing 6 million plus Indus OS user base and new users of Indus OS powered devices. With 95% of India’s mobile subscriber base comprises pre-paid connections it’s a wise move to launch the platform specifically for Prepaid customers. The Recharge 2.0 platform is still in its initial phase and we hope it improves with time.
