Google has recently revealed its all-new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices. In case you don’t know these smartphones are all about pure software experience and stability. With these devices, Google has introduced a number of new AI-powered features and specifically, in the camera app innumerable refinements can be seen. According to Google, only the Night Sight mode from Pixel 3-series will be made available to the preexisting Pixel devices. Rest of the things will be restricted to the new gen devices to maintain the exclusivity.
On one side official development is happening at a rapid rate while on the other hand, some third-party developers are going crazy with their skills. Two senior XDA members named cstark27 and Arnova8G2 are working on Google Pixel Camera mod for a while now. Finally, they have revealed their Google Camera mod which brings Night Sight, Photobooth, motion tracking autofocus, real-time Google Lens to Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices.
Whereas on the first gen Pixel devices it brings Night Sight, Portrait mode, etc. In case you guys don’t know Night Sight mode from Google allows you to capture great low light images. Photobooth recognizes your face expressions like smile and capture images. Motion tracking autofocus allows your device to keep the subject in focus even when the subject is in motion. Some other great features like Super-res Zoom is also there but the developer isn’t sure about its working. The Portrait mode on first gen Pixel devices only works with human faces for now.
