24MP Selfie Camera
Vivo has been bragging on Camera since last year when they shifted focus to Camera and Music. It was very well depicted in their new tagline and they did their part by launching three selfie centric smartphones. This time by featuring the world’s only 24MP front-facing camera Vivo V7 Plus brings in high res selfies along with their branded moonlight feature. Adding to this, Vivo has introduced a first portrait bokeh effect using a single camera sensor on the front. Though this bokeh is artificial, its implementation can be surely appreciated.
FullView Display
With the rising love for Infinity displays and close to bezel-less smartphones, Vivo brought a FullView Display, much like the LG G6 to its new range. Vivo V7 Plus comes with a 5.99-inch FullView Display with an 18:9 Aspect Ratio with on-screen buttons and scaling every app perfectly to this new dimensional screen size. Getting such a big display in an ergonomic form factor is commendable and the smartphone not at all feels that big compared to any 6-inch display handset out there.
Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform
Vivo V7 Plus is the first handset to get powered by a Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform in the country. The new chipset from Qualcomm has been very carefully designed to fulfil daily needs of an average consumer. Packing in everything at a merely small size of 14mm, this chipset is capable of powering premium experiences without draining much battery. Experiences like Real-time Bokeh, Vibrant Displays, and fast connectivity is courtesy of Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform.
FunTouch OS 3.2 on Vivo V7 Plus
Improving with every iteration, FunTouch OS a home-grown customized UI layer developed by Vivo has reached version 3.2 with Vivo V7 Plus. Integrated with new features such as Smart Split 3.0, App Clone, Game Mode and Face Unlock along with multiple under the hood improvements of Android 7.1 Nougat, the new operating system is fit for daily use. We shall be doing an extensive story about FunTouch OS 3.2 very soon discussing more on this.
Vivo V7 Plus Design
This time there have been significant changes to the design of a traditional Vivo handset look. With the introduction of FullView Display on Vivo V7 Plus, its front had to be left clean resulting in placement of fingerprint sensor at the back. Packing in 5.99-inch big display in this design needs to be appreciated. With the choice of materials of providing a false metal look in matte black fooled us at once. The design definitely looks premium and this might be one of the factors to make it a success in offline markets. The front of the smartphone totally surprises the user with such a long display and narrow bezels covering almost 84 percent of the body.
Vivo V7 Plus is priced at ₹21,990 in Matte Black and Champagne Gold color variants. It will be available in India starting September 15, 2017, both online and offline.
