1Meizu – the Chinese Smartphone manufacturer held a grand announcement yesterday to reveal its newest Meizu MX4 Pro. The Meizu MX4 pro is half a generation ahead of the MX4 that the company released this year as well.

The Meizu MX4 Pro is a beefy phone when it comes to specs – it comes with a mindblowing 2K+ display that brings in a resolution of 2560 x 1536 pixels. The best part about the phone is also how well built it is – just like the MX, the MX4 Pro has extremely narrow bezels – measuring just 2.8mm wide and boasts a pixel density of 542ppi.

2The Meizu MX4 Pro has a Samsung Exynos 5430 Octa-Core Processor which is comparable to the Snapdragon 805 in performance. This processor is paired with 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Exynos 5430 chipset with a quad-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A15 and a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A7 CPU which can dynamically switch between power-efficient cores and high performance A15 cores.

On the back the MX4 Pro comes with a 1/2.3 inch 20.7MP camera with high ISO sensitivity. The front of the phone holds a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera featuring the OmniVision OV5693 sensor.

One of the USPs of the MX4 Pro is the new fingerprint sensor embedded in the home key. It is protected by Sapphire glass and rocks a blazing fast unlock time of 0.5seconds.

The Meizy MX4 Pro comes with NFC, WiFi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.0 with LTE capabilities as well.

The phone runs Flyme 4.0 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. MX4 Pro sales start December 6 in China with a base price of $410 (CNY 2499). International pricing is yet to be detailed.
