After Marrisa Mayer took the lead for Yahoo Inc. In July 2012, the multi national company has got on a new height. On May 9, 2014 Yahoo launched the Yahoo News Digest mobile app for both Android and iOS users in India.

The application allows users to stay in touch with all the international news which they might need to know, twice a day right on their mobile phone. Every morning and night, the app delivers a compiled list of the international news in a very intuitive design.
The app covers stories from News, Technology, Sports, Business, World etc. categories in the form of ‘atoms’ which is a collection of articles, maps, Wikipedia entries, videos, and photos that make it easy for users to access the news quickly. The news reports are compiled by Yahoo editors in the UK, US, and Malaysia, who will deliver a timely Digest everyday at 8am and 6pm local time, wherever you are in the world.

Using algorithmic and human editorial curation, Yahoo uses the Summly technology which they acquired last year. Now we know that all the shopping is up to. The Android applications packs an intelligent widget which keep tracks of articles that have been read and only shows which are pending or new.
