The Cyber Shot has an 18-megapixel EXMOR R CMOS sensor with a Sony G Lens. The camera comes with Optical SteadyShot that helps in clicking blur-free stills. As per Sony, the image stabilisation for this camera is twice as effective at high-zoom settings when compared to the previous-generation Cyber-shot HX20V with 20x zoom.
The company also claims that the camera battery would last easily till 500 photos from a single battery charge.
With the new Exmor – RS sensor stills and Full HD video are aptured with very low picture noise, even while shooting without flash at dusk or in dimly-lit interiors.
The Cyber-Shot WX300 also packs a handful of neat features such as Superior Auto and Picture Effect that aid in photography while the The Picture Effect mode makes it easy to spice up photos, movies and panoramas with a range of artistic treatments like Toy Camera, Pop Colour, Soft High Key and Partial Colour.
The Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 will start retailing from mid-May at an MRP. of 19,990 INR.
