For those of you who are still looking for a netbook, or don’t want to go for more powerful and efficient alternatives based on AMD Fusion, ASUS has just released a new netbook which will ship on March 10th. It costs $299, the average price of a netbook.

 

The 10.1″ netbook has decent hardware inside it :

CPU : Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor running at 1.6Ghz.

Platform : Cedar Trail Atom, 32nm die size.

Screen : 10.1″ 1024*600. (most likely glossy)

RAM : 1GB DDR3 1333Mhz.

GPU : Intel UMA Graphics

HDD : 320GB 5400RPM.

OS : Windows 7 Starter.

Weight : 2.75 pounds.

Other notable features are the inclusion of a 802.11n WiFi chip, 2 USB ports, webcam, multicard reader, and a 56Whr battery which is said to give 12 and half hours of battery life. It also has HDMI and VGA outputs.
