‘NetMarketShare’ statistics show that Linux usage has been increasing throughout the year. Data collected by the company show that the market share of Linux jump from 0.96% to 1.46% by the year’s end – impressive if indicates on a wider mark.

But one can’t say about the whole story. Taking other sources into account it can be inferred that yeah, it has been up. The variation between companies depends on the data collection method used and the type of audience audited. But, overall, most companies are reporting an increase, in varying degrees.
