The fact that China is the world’s biggest mobile market is now strengthened with the news that the country now activates more Apple and Android devices than the U.S.
According to Flurry Inc., the shift took place in February when more iOS and Android powered phones and tablets were activated in China than in the US. China has accounted for almost 23%, while the US had only a 22% share. Might be only 1%, but it’s still higher. The projected situation for March is 24% to 21% in China’s advantage.
But as far as the installed base is concerned, the U.S still leads but ‘China, a faster growing emerging market, already had twice as large an installed base as the next largest market, the UK’.
