We all know Samsung has had a hugely successful last year with its Galaxy S II smartphone, just destroying the other opponents, and it is the largest smartphone maker in the world now. Its Q4 sales tell the success story, and according to a recent iGR study, Samsung is the preferred brand in the U.S. when it comes to devices powered by Google’s Android operating system, which is not surprising at all. Motorola, HTC, and LG are coming next with low-cost makers ZTE and Huawei lower down the list.
The report also unveils that 47% of U.S. smartphone buyers chose Android with the iPhone coming in second at 24%. The study shows that 45% of Android users actually made their decision based on research and then went for an Android device, while 27 % believed Google to be a reputed company when buying an Android device.
