Sprint confirmed on January 9 that the latest Android flagship is going to come to the carrier after rumors going strong with an advertisement leaking out but we were not given any details and now, the official Google sign-up page for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus is now up for those interested in picking up the smartphone so it seems it won’t be long enough before we get to know more details.
The Galaxy Nexus will be the first LTE enabled smartphone for Sprint and rumors suggest it could come with a higher CPU speed at 1.5 GHz and a larger battery than the Verizon and GSM versions but we have to wait and watch. There’s no word on when we can expect the device to hit the shelves but as Sprint’s LTE network is going live in mid-year, we can expect it then with Sprint saying things like “soon” and “mid-2012”. Till then, you can check out our Verizon Galaxy Nexus review as the Sprint version too will be more or less the same.
