Nokia has been a poineer in manufacturing camera smartphones. Starting from the Nokia 7650 which was the first camera smartphone which came out for public to Nokia N93, the first smartphone to come with Carl Zeiss optics and the Nokia N95 to the first 12MP N8 and in the end the last Symbian 41MP Nokia 808 all of them have been wildly popular and known well for their cameras. Nokia 808 got some brilliant results and achieved the status as portable DSLR for some.
Keeping the same trend, within an year of 808 launched Nokia has successfully build the same 41MP on Windows Phone adding some more functionality making it undoubtedly the best camera smartphone available till date.
Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 41MP sensor with PureView technology capable of taking insane clicks comparable or even better than any point and shoot camera with lots of additional functionality. The addition of Nokia’s Pro Camera app takes the camera to a completely new level with manual adjustment of the white balance, shutter speed, aperture providing maximum control of the camera to the user. It also has different shooting modes like motion picture, action shot etc which helps in producing some insane results.
Nokia Lumia 1020 packs a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory but it does not allow any further expansion of memory. It has a beautiful camera decor on the back which is build of polycarbonate and the front features a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD display.
Spending some time with the device, we were absolutely stunned by the pictures clicked by the device. The amount of detail is insane. It’s tagline ‘ZOOM Reinvented’ totally stands up to the words because the clicked pictures can be zoomed up to a very high level and can still retain the quality. You can even zoom out of a clicked picture. Nokia announced the device in India on 26 September 2013 in India but the price is still now known yet. Its sales will start on 11 October 2013 and the price will be declared on 10 October 2013.
Nokia will be selling two accessories for the Lumia 1020. First is the camera grip worth ₹7500 which has a pinhole for it to be attached with any camera tripod. Secondly the chargeable shell worth ₹3200 which is a wireless charging plate. The expected price is around $800 but let’s see what it comes out to be on 10th October.
