We all know that the Nokia Lumia is a beautiful smartphone, as Stephen Elop calls it the ‘first real Windows Phone’, but ever since it launched, we’ve heard about the battery problem, and it has been found somewhat underwhelming. To fix the battery issue, Nokia first rolled out an update in January ,and then announced that users suffering from the problem can either exchange their devices for a brand new-one or wait for the update in February, and it seems Nokia has started rolling the battery-fix update for the Lumia 800. Various sources and some users have confirmed that they are getting the update.
The Battery Fix Update is supposed to increase the capacity of their batteries (currently limited to 1300MAh rather than 1500MAh); this update should bring the Firmware version up to 1600.2483.8106.11500 which besides fixing the battery life also promises to improve WiFi connectivity. We’ll get to see the full changelog once the update starts rolling in all parts of the world.
