According to a survey from Check Point Software, Apple’s iOS is the most popular platform among the IT pros, followed closely by RIM’s Blackberry platform. Check Point surveyed a total of 768 respondents across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan and found out that  iOS accounts for 30% of usage, with RIM’s BlackBerry platform marginally behind at 29%. Then followed by Google’s Android at 21%, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile/Windows Phone at 18%, and the ageing and dying Symbian at a meagre 3%. They also found that mobile devices contributed almost 70% of the  security incidents. As expected Google’s open-source Android operating system produces the greatest security risk, but according to 72% of polled users, careless employees were a greater security threat than hackers, and the lack of employee awareness about security policies ranked as having the greatest impact on the security of mobile data.
