We have yet another bad news for Samsung Galaxy S users. Galaxy S users eagerly waiting for the Value Pack update promised by Samsung are in for a disappointment once again. A company spokesperson has just confirmed that Samsung has dropped the plans to for the Value Pack update.
Here’s the story if you don’t know it yet, initially Samsung refused to update its 2010 flasgship Galaxy S to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich citing performance and lack of memory. Later on as a result of angry fans rage against the company and it’s decision, Samsung said that they will look into it and try to bring the update, only to again backtrack and saying that the update is not going to come but however they promised they would bring a Value Pack update which would bring essential features of ICS to the device. But now, users will not even get that. This is really sad and disappointing as a company of this stature cannot make up it’s mind and stick to it.
It’s quite sad that casual Galaxy S users would have to live with Gingerbread all their lives but geeky users can surely go ahead and get some ICS love through unofficial and custom ROMs but it is surely not the way for everyone.
