We guessed we wouldn’t see the 41-MP behemoth Nokia 808 PureView go on the sale in the US and our guessing was based on the fact that Symbian which runs the amazing cameraphone is not exactly a favorite in the States. But Nokia surprised us when it announced last month that the Nokia 808 PureView will be available in the US and Amazon had said that it would release the device on 8th July and on time we can see the 808 PureView is available in stock at Amazon at the expected price of $699.
The Nokia 808 PureView can be with either AT&T or T-Mobile’s 3G networks at the States. The device has garnered some rave reviews thanks to the amazing and huge camera sensor stuffed in plus the PureView algorithms by Nokia producing some high quality pictures unmatched by any smartphone right now but it is more of a cameraphone than a smartphone because the Symbian Nokia Belle OS may be good on functionality but it still sucks at the user experience point. If you can’t wait for the Lumia PureView’s to come by and you just want that amazing camera inspite of the other hardware being aged then go ahead as the 808 PureView is for you.
