WhatsApp the popular instant messaging client which all of a sudden vanished from the Windows Phone Store is now back in the catalog after Joe Belfiores’s tweet earlier today.
Sorry for being quiet about WhatsApp. We've worked with them to get a fix built and expect it to be back QUITE SOON.— joebelfiore (@joebelfiore) May 30, 2014
The mobile application is not just arrived back but has also been updated with new features which was the original cause for its disappearance. The change-log of the new version 2.11.490.0 has been listed below.
- Chat backgrounds
- Broadcast lists
- Privacy settings (settings > account > privacy)
- Media auto-download settings (settings > chat settings > media auto-download)
- Custom notification tones (Windows Phone 8 Update 3 required)
- Various enhancements and bug fixes
Windows 8.1 users a heads up for you guys, a warning message saying some of the features won’t work properly might bug you but don’t bother. So all those who were complaining head to the Windows Phone Store and download now.
